I actually recently visited Stough Canyon for the first time this week, since I don't usually go to hiking trails in Burbank city. However, I came across quite a few amazing trails in this city, heading up towards a very well-known restaurant called "Castaway". Stough Canyon is not as secluded as I would have liked, but in reality, there are very few "secluded" hiking trails left in Los Angeles, considering they've all been taken over by the city, and regulated upon. Stough Canyon is located at
2300 Walnut Avenue, in Burbank (91501). This is an extremely basic trail that simply goes up one way, leading to a few benches at the top that allow you to sit and enjoy the city view. Though I don't like to spend much time in my city (Glendale, which is practically neighbors with Burbank), I do admit that the views around here are amazing! Regardless of it being day or night, you can always count on a beautiful view, especially when you're looking for a simple walking trail rather than a difficult hiking trail. Stough Canyon is the perfect place to go for something simple, especially if you enjoy bike riding up and down smooth trails. I don't really suggest this trail if you're not from around the area, mostly because it's nothing SPECTACULAR and I don't think it would be worth more than a 10 or 15 minute drive. However, if you happen to go at all, make sure to go at night time (with a flashlight!) and check it out. Here's a picture right
here.
